Every dolly on the market today is a copy of a copy of a copy. They do not even know why they make them that way. They are just copies of a 30 year old design.
However, The Ultralight “EZE-TOW” Tow Dolly has been built from the ground up starting with a clean piece of paper. You would think that there wouldn’t be much to it, but we took a simple idea and made more than 27 changes and improvements to make a good idea a great one. First we took out over 400 unnecessary pounds. This makes the Ultralight “EZE-TOW” Tow Dolly the lightest dolly on the market today. Very easy to maneuver and move around. NextI want to inform you of the latent design flaws that exist in most tow dollies today. Did you know that if you turn too sharp, the Tow dolly fender will most likely make contact with the towed cars door? Some people know that now because of experience, not because they were cautioned about it. Because of our unique wheel to axle geometry it is nearly impossible to damage the towed car with the Towdolly. We tried. We did things with an OVER LOADED tow dolly that no one in their right mind would ever try. As hard as we tried, we could not make the Ultralight “EZE-TOW" Tow Dolly fender hit the towed vehicle.
Also, because of the obsolete and grossly inferior design of most dollies on the market today it is impossible to adjust the brakes, bleed the brakes, or service the brake backing plate from the inside at all!! Yes, Hard to believe but true. Trailer brakes are not self adjusting. Brakes require attention on a regular basis. Why don’t these other companies care about that? Why have they used this same, inefficient, unserviceable design for over 25 years? The Ultralight “EZE-TOW” Tow Dolly is easily serviceable and our Hydraulic Surge Disc Brakes never need adjusting and are easily changed. If that isn’t enough consider the fact that we also have the lowest platform height of all dollies on the market today. Lower height means easier more trouble free use.
We took it upon ourselves to solve these most common design flaws and provide the consumer with an efficient, reliable, light weight, heavy duty tow dolly. Of course we didn’t stop there. Like I said we made many, many improvements to the concept of the Tow Dolly. It wasn’t that difficult really, 1 year of planning, design, testing, redesigning, retesting, starting over twice and oh yea, lots and lots of money.
Now you would think that a dolly this nice would be very expensive. Well I am happy to say that our dolly is no more expensive than theirs and usually quite a bit less expensive. Any concerns that we may have had in the past (Dealing over the internet, not knowing any individuals personally who have dealt with your firm or used your product) have now more than proven to be groundless. Your customer service is a model that other companies, regardless of their product, can definitely learn from. You have taken customer service from the corporate boardroom model and instead listen to what customers not just expect but added to that what they can only dream of if we lived in a perfect world.
Your product is without question the best option available. After an extremely easy delivery and assembly of our new car dolly, we loaded our 2009 Uplander, (with more weight inside than should be!) and left Northern Ontario, have travelled to Branson MO and onto the Grand Canyon on our way to Kelowna BC. In all honesty we cannot even tell if the trailer is behind our coach! Thanks for rear view camera's!
On Tuesday evening we arrived in Amarillo TX just in time for a tornado to hit. To make a long evening a short story, while we were still on the road, the road itself was washed out and we ended up being buried up to our axles in good ole red Texas mud, that we found out is called 'cliché.' Believe me this stuff is sticky, slippery, heavy and the best glue I've ever seen. The heavy duty tow tow operator determined that the only way to drag us the 400-500 feet back to the asphalt was to leave the car dolly connected to our 24,000 pound coach and extricate us by hooking the tow cable to the dolly! After two hours and a $1500 tow charge we made it back to the undamaged road.
Amazingly the tow dolly was not affected in any way. The welds were intact and no one piece of mettle was even bent! Yesterday and today we continued our trip and are currently visiting the Grand Canyon.
Even after this torture test that we put your car dolly through, absolutely nothing was effected and the subsequent tow was no different than prior to the 'incident'. I can't imagine any other product even attempting to compare to yours. As with your customer service, your product is in a class above all of the rest. If fact the tow operator made the comment that your product is not only the best in design and functionality that he has seen, but is also priced 'ridiculously' low.
